The challenge was to strike a balance between sophisticated and approachable.

I wanted the home to feel elevated but never overly formal, where you could host a dinner party, but also curl up with a blanket and a good book.

Modern luxury meets timeless coziness.

This home was designed to feel calm, curated, and collected – with warm layers, timeless neutrals, and thoughtful textures throughout. I wanted it to be a place that felt elevated but never overly formal. Every corner was created with purpose, balancing open airy moments with cozy, intimate nooks.

Coziology's window treatments played a huge role in pulling that vision together, adding softness, texture, light control, and a level of finish that instantly made each room feel complete.

Design Process and Collaboration with Cozyology

Design Philosophy:

My approach always centers on designing spaces that feel collected and calming. I gravitate toward neutral tones, layered textures, and furnishings that are both classic and current.

For this home, I leaned into that mindset, building the foundation with timeless pieces and layering in decor and accents that brought personality and interest.

Cozyology’s drapes were an easy decision. Their quality, customization options, and overall aesthetic aligned seamlessly with the look and feel I envisioned.

Incorporating Cozyology:

From the start, I knew I wanted continuity throughout the home—but with slight variations to keep each room feeling unique. I love using the same material across multiple spaces, but changing up the color, style, or light filtering to align with the intended function and mood.

Challenges Overcome with Cozyology Curtains

The Primary Bedroom had soaring ceilings that initially felt more vast than inviting. It’s a space where you want to feel cozy and relaxed, but the scale was throwing it off.

We solved this by hanging full-length drapes from ceiling to floor, with extra width on each side to frame the window to add softness.

It completely changed the feel of the room—so much cozier, and visually balanced.

I chose the blackout version in Ivory Cream. They look so luxurious and I no longer have to listen to my husband complaining about the early morning sun, which is an added bonus!

Key Design Lessons:
We often hear that when choosing window treatments, or anything in a home, it’s important to focus on both form and function.

Cozyology’s products are not only beautiful but also highly functional. They help manage light, maintain privacy, and create the perfect mood for each room.

I always say, a room is never fully complete until the windows are dressed.

When designing a space, we obsess over tile grout and faucet finishes, but often treat the one element that actually controls how the room feels as an afterthought. Drapes or shades can change the whole mood of a room, so don’t overlook them in your projects.
