What does “Single Panel Order Width” refer to?
Single Panel Curtains
- Single Panel Order Width = full rod length
- Covers the entire rod when pulled across to fully block light.
Split Panel Curtains
- Single Panel Order Width = half the rod length
- Two panels, each covering half the rod, meet in the center to fully block light.
Note: “Single Panel Order Width” refers to the length of the rod you’d like the curtain to cover — not the flat fabric before pleating.
The actual fabric will be wider than your selected order width to achieve the desired fullness and a beautifully gathered look.

What is Fullness?
No need to worry — we’ve already taken care of that.
Simply measure the rod length you need to cover (this is your single panel order width).
When we create your curtains, we’ll automatically add the perfect amount of fullness — a ratio of 2-2.4 times the width — to ensure your curtains look full and balanced.
Fullness is the ratio between the amount of fabric used and the finished curtain width. It reflects how full or gathered the curtain looks.
A higher fullness means more pleats and a richer, more luxurious appearance — while lower fullness looks flatter and more minimal.
Fullness = Fabric Width ÷ Single Panel Order Width
For example, pleated headers typically use a 2.2× fullness — meaning the fabric we use is 2.2 times the single panel order width.
We automatically select the ideal fullness based on the Single Panel Order Size you choose, with over 30 years of curtain expertise:
Under 59″ → 2.4× fullness (extra pleats for a fuller look)
59″–157″ → 2.2× fullness (perfect balance and proportion)
Over 157″ → 2.0× fullness (prevents excessive stacking on wide panels)
No need to worry about choosing a fullness ratio—simply measure the rod length you’d like to cover (Single Panel Order Width), and we’ll take care of the rest.
However, if you have a specific fullness preference, feel free to email us at care@cozyology.com.
What does “Single Panel Order Width” affect?
- Pleats Quantity
A wider order width results in more pleats.
More pleats create a richer, more textured drape. - Stacked Width
A wider panel means more fabric will stack on each side when open.
This creates a fuller look and takes up more space at the edges.

What does “Single Panel Order Length” refer to?
It’s the vertical length you want your curtain to cover.
If you want the curtain to just touch the floor:
Single Panel Order Length( L) = Distance from the bottom of the rod to the floor – 1 inch (to account for ring drop)
What if the curtain length isn’t right?
Measured it a bit off?
- A bit long?
Lower the back adjustable hooks (included in all of our curtain orders) to lift the curtain by up to 2 1/8″. - A bit short?
Raise the hooks to lower the curtain by about 3/8″ in height.
